AERCAP to lease two Boeing 737 MAX jets to latest customer ASKY Airlines

 AerCap Holdings N.V., the leading global aviation lessor, has recently announced the signing of lease agreements for two used Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with ASKY, The Pan-African Airline based in Togo. The delivery of these aircraft is scheduled between June and August 2023. The announcement ceremony was attended by esteemed guests including the CEO of ASKY, Esayas W. HAILU, the CEO of AerCap, Aengus Kelly, the Board Chairman of Ethiopian Airlines Group and Aviation Advisor to Togo, Mr. Girma Wake, as well as board members of ASKY, marked a significant milestone in the partnership between the two companies.


ASKY Airlines, known as The Pan-African Airline, is a privately owned airline established by regional banking institutions in Africa, in partnership with Ethiopian Airlines. Managed by experienced African aviation professionals, ASKY operates as a commercial company under private law. The airline currently operates a fleet of twelve aircraft, including Boeing 737-800s and 737-700s, serving 26 cities in 24 countries across Africa. ASKY’s primary focus is on developing a strong intra-Africa network that drives regional development, tourism, economic growth, and integration within the continent. With a long-term goal of sustainable profitability, ASKY aims to be a significant economic catalyst for Africa.
