Airbus has announced that the company’s helicopter manufacturing division has signed an agreement with Swiss Helicopter, a Switzerland-based helicopter company to upgrade the avionics systems for their H120 helicopters. According to the agreement, the new avionics by Airbus will modernize the H120 helicopters of Swiss Helicopter by providing new safety and performance functionalities and equipping it with a more digitally-connected system. The latest upgrade is one of the continuous improvement programmes offered by Airbus in the new HCare Classics package which is a suite of flexible services dedicated to out-of-production aircraft.
“Our fleet of H120 helicopters are highly appreciated in our spectrum of operations given their excellent low sound levels, comfort, high reliability and good performance,” says Rolf Heuberger, CEO from Swiss Helicopter. “Our pilots, flight instructors and technicians are already familiar with this avionics system, which is used on our H125 fleet, and we’re pleased that the H120 will benefit from the same level of safety and performance this system provides. We’re looking forward to operating the H120 for many years to come,” he further added.
