MedAire’s ‘Management of Inflight Illness:
1 June 2020: MedAire is now providing its flagship training programme, virtual Management of Inflight Illness & Injury (MIII) course via virtual classroom. The class is delivered via zoom for a better voice, video and chat experience. On the successful completion of the course, students receive an American Heart Association CPR Card.
The virtual Management of Inflight Illness & Injury (MIII) course:
- It teaches the crewmembers the skills needed to provide assistance quickly and accurately when a medical event occurs in flight.
- It also includes essential Covid-19 risk mitigation measures.
- Personal precaution equipment: types, uses, and hands-on training on the proper donning and doffing of gloves and masks.
- How to deliver oxygen on board safely to reduce exposure to airborne viruses.
- Aircraft surface cleaning and disinfecting.
- Hotel room safety for crew that must overnight.
- Infection control guidelines for cabin crewmembers.
