Spirit Airlines has received an Airbus A320neo aircraft (MSN 11270) from SMBC Aviation Capital that is powered by two PW1127G-JM engines. While the aircraft and related engines were at the Airbus delivery facility in Toulouse, France, they were delivered. This is the fifth of six planes that Spirit will receive between November 2022 and April 2023.
SMBC Aviation Capital, formerly RBS Aviation Capital, is one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies. It is owned by a consortium of leading Japanese institutions: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company Limited and Sumitomo Corporation.
