2 June, 2018: 2 June, 2018: Field Aviation, an aircraft modification company has received a contract, through an open tender process, to upgrade the flight deck on the Swedish Coast Guard’s (Kustbevakningen) three Dash 8 aircraft. The upgrade includes installation of Field Aviation’s EFI-890R Flight Deck, Flight Management System (FMS) upgrades and other changes to make the aircraft ADS-B Out compliant.
The Field Aviation EFI-890R Flight Deck Modernization program is a state of the art replacement of the legacy Dash 8 OEM electromechanical and electronic flight and engine instrumentation systems with five Universal Avionics (UA) EFI-890R flat panel integrated smart displays.
