25 January, 2019:Bombardier has entered into an agreement with Triump Group, an international supplier of aerospace services, structures, systems and support to take over the Global 7500 wing programme. Bombardier will enter into a lease agreement for Triumph’s Red Oak, Texas, facility and will be operating the production line with the employees currently dedicated for this programme.
Bombardier’s Aerostructures and Engineering Services segment will be looking after the operations of the facility.
The ongoing working capital investment and usual costs associated with the programme’s ramp up will be assumed by Bombardier.
Bombardier’s position as a leading aero structure manufacture will be strengthened with this acquisition.
