Horizon Air appoints Earl Scott as vice president of maintenance and engineering

Horizon Air, a regional airline and a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, has announced the election of Earl Scott as the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. The Horizon Air Board of Directors appointed Scott to oversee the long-term strategy and financial performance of Horizon’s maintenance and engineering workgroup. In this role, he will lead a team of over 300 industry professionals.


Earl Scott brings a wealth of leadership experience to Horizon Air, having previously served as the Senior Director of Business Development, Air Force Logistics Solutions at Palantir Technologies. During his 26-year tenure in the Air Force Maintenance and Logistics community, Scott worked on military and commercial aircraft, with assignments at the Pentagon and multiple overseas deployments. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as the Director of Air Force Services at Boeing for five years before joining Palantir Technologies in April 2022.
