StandardAero awarded AMC license for Rolls-Royce T56 Series IV engine

StandardAero has been granted the Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC) license by Rolls-Royce to carry out repairs and overhauls on T56 Series IV engines. This license encompasses the T56-A-427 and T56-A-427A engine models, which are utilized in the Northrop Grumman E-2C Hawkeye and Advanced Hawkeye aircraft, essential all-weather, carrier-capable tactical airborne early warning platforms employed by the U.S. Navy. The T56-A-427/-427A engines boast an impressive 5,250 shaft horsepower output.

StandardAero’s San Antonio MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility has been actively engaged in overhauling T56 Series IV engines since their initial induction in 2018. To date, the facility has successfully completed over 127 engine overhauls. With the acquisition of this new AMC license, StandardAero is now empowered to extend its repair and overhaul services for these engines to customers worldwide.
