Korean Air begins construction of latest engine maintenance cluster

Korean Air has embarked on the construction of an aircraft engine maintenance cluster in Unbuk, near Incheon International Airport, slated to open its doors in 2027. This ambitious project aims to establish the largest engine maintenance complex in Asia, strengthening the airline’s aircraft engine maintenance capabilities and bolstering its aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) business.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on March 14 2024, was attended by prominent figures including Walter Cho, Chairman and CEO of Korean Air, along with government officials and industry representatives.
