18 May 2020:Boeing successfully recorded its 100th delivery of P-8A aircraft to US Navy. The P-8 is a military derivative of Boeing 737 Next-Gen airplane that combines superior performance and reliability with an advanced mission system.
Thanking the US Navy for their faith and confidence in the P-8 system Boeing's vice president and program manager Stu Voboril said, "Our focus has been, and will be, on delivering the world's best maritime patrol aircraft, bar none."
The P-8 is a proven long-range multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft capable of broad-area, maritime and coastal operations currently approaching its 300,000 flight hours of hunting submarines and providing aerial reconnaissance capabilities around the world.
It is a part of the global fleet including the Indian Navy, Australian and UK air forces.
