Collins Aerospace, a business under Raytheon Technologies, is enhancing its long-term Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Services agreement by signing a letter of intent with Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) to expand nacelle support in Malaysia. Under this agreement, Collins Aerospace technicians will offer knowledge transfer and training for nacelle inspection, composite, and mechanical repairs to ADE engineers. This collaboration aims to build upon existing technical skills and increase technical competence within ADE. In return, Collins Aerospace will support the full lifecycle of AirAsia’s CFM56-5B fleet until the end of its lease.
This partnership is expected to improve efficiencies and turnaround times for aircraft maintenance services. Additionally, it contributes to the industry’s environmental sustainability goals by extending the life of aircraft and ensuring high dispatch reliability.
