Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has announced that its highly-anticipated Gulfstream G700 business jet will offer even greater performance and cabin comfort than initially projected. During its certification flights, the G700 has exhibited improvements in range, speed, and cabin altitude, further enhancing its appeal in the ultra-long-range business jet market. With over 4,100 test hours flown across five flight-test aircraft and two outfitted production-test aircraft, the G700 flight test program is rapidly nearing its completion. The G700’s range has been increased to an impressive 7,750 nautical miles (14,353 kilometers) at Mach 0.85 or 6,650 nautical miles (12,316 kilometers) at Mach 0.90. These figures represent a significant boost of 250 nautical miles (463 kilometers) at both speeds over the aircraft’s original projections. Moreover, the G700’s maximum operating speed has been elevated to Mach 0.935, surpassing Mach 0.925, making it the fastest aircraft in the Gulfstream fleet.
