UTair Engineering chooses AMOS:
5 September 2019:UTair Engineering, the Russian rotary wing MRO provider has selected Swiss-AS' AMOS. UTair Engineering is the second member of the UTair Group to select AMOS, following the airline UTair Aviation, who joined the AMOS Community in 2012.
By having an AMOS reference customer within the company group placed UTair Engineering in a very favourable position during the software selection process. The UTair Engineering evaluation team was able to see for themselves the quality and suitability of AMOS and rely on UTair Aviation's first-hand experience of the project implementation and daily usage of AMOS post go-live.
AMOS provides a wide scope of dedicated functions for helicopters to fullfil their special needs and requirements.
Vibration monitoring is used to detect the early stages of helicopter component degradation, connecting this to the dynamic counter options within AMOS to optimise maintenance control and performance. AMOS provides a complete suite of engineering requirements to control the maintenance needs of the helicopter industry. Also, AMOS can look after the management of extensive pooling contracts which are tailor-made to the specific operational environments of helicopters, such as search & rescue as well as oil & gas industries.
AMOS covers variety of helicopter OEM requirements and is not limited to certain helicopter brands or types. Due to the amount of OEMs in the market, AMOS adaptability supports the operator to manage approval for modification installations on any model. AMOS also offers mission logic, which allows individual system capability set up aligned to the types of missions flown. Fleet uniformity or customer preference can be tracked accurately in AMOS using the in-depth effectivity rule logic. The main goal of AMOS is to boost the overall operational safety by encompassing as many of these factors as possible and then produce a streamlined, process driven structure, for example, to manage weight and balance issues resulting from modifications or from kit installations.
"With UTair Engineering we are pleased to welcome on board one of the largest helicopter specialised MRO providers. The implementation of AMOScentral may bring further considerable benefits to the two UTair Group members in terms of a closer cooperation on parts availability, data sharing and similar synergies, "said Ronald Schaeuffele, CEO of Swiss-AS.
"UTair has been using AMOS for over 7 years in order to optimize maintenance of Boeing 737, 767 and ATR-72 aircraft. We welcome the opportunity for enhanced cooperation. AMOS modules allow for automation of production processes, reduce the risk of poor planning, help to cut maintenance costs and eventually improve flight safety ," said Rashid Faradzhaev, General Director of UTair Engineering.
