India fights COVID-19, air travel lockdown extended till 3rd May 2020:
India fights COVID-19, air travel lockdown extended till 3rd May 2020
14 May 2020: All domestic and International scheduled airline operations to and from India are suspended till the midnight of 3rd May 2020. This is in line with the extension of the nationwide lockdown to arrest the spread of COVID-19.

Today, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced the extension of lockdown till 3rd May 2020. Soon after this announcement the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said,” All domestic and international scheduled airline operations shall remain suspended till 11:59 pm of May 3, 2020.”

India had banned international flights for a week from March 22 to restrict travel amid the coronavirus pandemic.
