29 April 2020:Special flights containing the COVID-19 pandemic across the globe are arriving on Munich Airport making it one of the busiest airport catering to the COVID-19 relief operations. On an average about 20 cargo flights arrive here daily. Besides, there is an added emphasis on the transportation of medical supplies.

Here's a list of some of the important flights:

- Uzbekistan Airways is flying a Boeing 767F with medical supplies from the Chinese port city of Tianjin to Munich twice a week by order of the shipping company Senator International. They are expected to continue till the end of June.

- Qatar Airways is flying a daily cargo service from Doha to Munich using a Boeing 777 till May end.

- Special flights carried out by Icelandair on behalf of logistics company DB Schenker using specially converted Boeing 767 cargo planes. These flights are arriving from Shanghai daily.

- Lufthansa will continue to fly Airbus A350 carrying medical protective equipment from China to Munich via Seoul twice a day until mid-May.

These special flights transporting medical supplies are making an important contribution to containing the coronavirus in this part of the world.
