Dassault Aviation launches FalconWays Tool to control carbon emissions

Dassault Aviation has introduced a cutting-edge flight planning tool known as FalconWays, aimed at assisting Falcon pilots in selecting the most fuel-efficient routes and optimizing fuel carried. This is made possible by utilizing updated global wind data, optimization algorithms, and performance model-specific algorithms. This innovative flight planning tool will be demonstrated at the Dassault static display during the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition from October 17 to 19, 2023.

FalconWays is set to be offered as a flight application within Dassault’s FalconSphere iPad electronic flight bag, providing compatibility with Jeppesen and Universal flight planning tools. The application has undergone extensive evaluation during long-haul flights between the U.S. and Europe and across Asia, as well as through numerous simulations. In practical applications, crews utilizing FalconWays managed to reduce fuel consumption by up to seven percent.
