easyJet became the first airline to join Airbus in the carbon-removal initiative

Airbus Carbon Capture Offer enables Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage (DACCS) technology offering airlines across the world the chance to enhance their goals towards decarbonization.

CO2 is directly emitted into the atmosphere while the aircraft is operating and cannot be extracted directly but DACCS technology uses high-powered extraction fan strains and extracts an equivalent amount of CO2 emissions that are eliminated from the air are stored in the underground reservoirs permanently. This technology is complementary to other carbon reduction technologies, for instance, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
