Aviatic MRO, a Lithuania-based aircraft maintenance and repair organization, has unveiled a cutting-edge aircraft maintenance facility at Šiauliai International Airport (SQQ), Lithuania. This advanced hangar facility, developed in collaboration with the prominent aircraft lease company World Star Aviation, aspires to establish itself as a comprehensive one-stop MRO hub for various commercial aircraft types, aiming to be a premier MRO facility in the region. Aviatic MRO’s full-service operations within the hangar facility are set to commence in Q4 2023. The investment in the maintenance facility is estimated to reach up to 20 million Euros, creating around 1,000 high-skilled aviation technician jobs in the region.
Spanning an impressive 17,000 square meters, the brand-new maintenance facility boasts four bays for narrow-body aircraft or configurations accommodating one wide-body and two narrow-body planes. The facility is designed to be fully adaptable, offering flexible configurations for different MRO requirements and can even accommodate aircraft as large as the Boeing 747-8. Aviatic MRO intends to deliver line and base maintenance services for Airbus A320, A330, Boeing 737 Classic, and NG aircraft. These services encompass an array of maintenance checks, end-of-lease projects, modifications, and other MRO offerings tailored to customer needs.
