With an illustrious career spanning almost four decades in aerospace programs, Powell will spearhead the development, certification, integration, and industrialization of Symphony.
Boom Supersonic unveiled its Symphony propulsion system in December 2022, tailored specifically for the Overture supersonic airliner. Engineered to offer airlines a remarkable 25% increase in time on wing and a 10% reduction in operating costs, Symphony is a bespoke engine developed in collaboration with industry leaders including Florida Turbine Technologies (FTT), GE Additive, and StandardAero.
