In a groundbreaking ceremony held in Weeze, Germany, Northrop Grumman, alongside Rheinmetall AG, Lockheed Martin, and German officials, initiated the establishment of a second F-35 center fuselage Integrated Assembly Line (IAL).
The Integrated Assembly Line (IAL) is set to play a crucial role in affordably manufacturing high-quality next-generation aircraft that meet the requirements of a growing number of international customers. By collaborating with Rheinmetall AG, Northrop Grumman aims to address the surging demand for the F-35 fighter aircraft, which has become a cornerstone of modern air defense capabilities.
