Boeing’s AH-64E Apache has reached a significant milestone as the upgraded Version 6.5, or V6.5, successfully completed its maiden flight. V6.5 is the latest configuration of this formidable attack helicopter and represents the next evolution in Apache capabilities. The V6.5 Apache, recognized as the world’s premier attack helicopter, incorporates a host of enhancements and capabilities aimed at maintaining its dominance on future battlefields. Boeing’s commitment to modernizing the Apache platform was exemplified with this successful test flight.
“We saw our hard work come to life with this first flight,” said Christina Upah, vice president of Attack Helicopter Programs and senior Mesa site executive, Boeing. “These enhancements will take the E-model Apache to the next level in terms of capabilities, ensuring Apaches continue to dominate future battlefields,” he further added.
