Masdar, an Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC, and a leading global renewable energy and green hydrogen company, has forged a strategic partnership with aerospace giant Boeing to drive the development of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and around the world. The collaboration aims to accelerate the commercial aviation industry’s ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Together, Masdar and Boeing intend to advance and support the development of policies promoting SAF adoption in the UAE and beyond. They will also explore ways to enhance SAF accounting principles, addressing geographical barriers that may arise as the SAF industry scales up.
