Abu Dhabi Aviation expands its fleet of Leonardo helicopters:

19 November 2019: In an official ceremony during Dubai Air Show today Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) and Leonardo signed a contract for 5 helicopters thereby expanding ADA's fleet of Leonardo helicopters.

Scheduled for delivery in 2020, the agreement includes three AW139s and two AW169s, thus marking the first order for AW169 by ADA. This is a part of an agreement for 15 helicopters including the AW139/AW169/AW189 types announced at the end of 2015.

Now, the AW169 will also benefit from the support and maintenance provided by AugustaWestland Aviation Services LLC. A joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) and Leonardo AugustaWestland Aviation Services LLC currently provide MRO for AW 139s.

ADA already incorporates 16 intermediate AW139 helicopters, primarily supporting the oil and gas industry. The addition of AW169 will be an added advantage as it will add to the range of customers worldwide who are benefitting from the unique advantages of the AW Family of new generation helicopter models.

Abu Dhabi Aviation is currently the largest commercial helicopter operator in MENA.
