Munich Airport’s step towards a greener environment

Munich Airport’s step towards a greener environment:

22 November 2019: As we become more aware of the environment and the ways to prevent the environmental damage, Munich Airport has a reason to celebrate. In a recent audit by independent environmental auditors, Munich Airport is found to be in full compliance with the EMAS and ISO 14001 standards for the 14th consecutive year. The auditors also showered praises for the Airport's strong environmental stewardship. The auditors reaffirmed the effectiveness of the airport's highly successful environmental management system, which goes far beyond the basic legal requirements.

Munich Airport had achieved it by taking a comprehensive approach to capture all possible effects resulting from airport operations.

STEPWISE PROCESS

1.As a starting point, environmental data, for example on the consumption of energy inputs and resources, are collected and analysed

2.This data is then used to develop extensive measures to further reduce the environmental impact and thus to continuously improve the airport's environmental performance.

This shows Environmental protection is of the utmost importance to Munich Airport and as the threat of climate change looms, it is essential to find efficient solutions for environmentally friendly air transportaPublish Posttion
