18 November 2019: Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has delivered the first of two factory new Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Fiji Airways during a delivery ceremony at the Airbus facility in Toulouse, France.
The Airbus A350 XWB is the first of the category to enter Fiji Airways' fleet which makes it the first airline in the South Pacific region to operate this modern aircraft. The aircraft are going to be delivered on long-term leases.
Firoz Tarapore, Chief Executive Officer of DAE said, "We are delighted to be part of this new chapter of Fiji Airways' growth and their transition to new technology aircraft. The delivery of this aircraft further positions Fiji Airways as a leading airline in the region and we are privileged to partner with them on this transaction."
