18 November 2019: ACSS has been selected by Airbus Helicopters to supply the LYNX Traffic Collision Avoidance System.

A modified version of Lynx NGT-9000 will be developed and supplied by ACSS with the TCAS I (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) optimized for helicopters, providing advanced safety and situational awareness for pilots.

Airbus chose ACSS' Lynx NGT-9000 because of the lightweight, compact size and the company's 20-year history of supplying TCAS solutions to aircraft operators around the world. The TSO certification is slated for the first quarter of 2020 and will enter into service in 2021.

"Adapting the LYNX product line for helicopters will provide best-in-class situational awareness for helicopter pilots," said Terry Flaishans, President, ACSS. "Airbus is providing NH90 operators the ability to have the same safety equipment that has been flying on commercial airplanes, enabling safer skies."
