The Kuehne-Nagel Conference, ‘With a Difference’ …. The 2nd Aerospace & Defence Conference organised hosted by Kuehne-Nagel witnessed the presence of aerospace industry stalwarts and ministry combined. The conference focussed mainly on the Supply Chain challenges facing the sector in the newly developing growth spots.

The opening comments by Erik Goedhart, SVP & Global Head of Aerospace & Industrials, Kuehne Nagel Management AG immediately put everyone at ease. He later went on to expain digitisation and technology-driven innovations will change the future of Supply Chain in the MRO sector.

While explaining the future prospects of Kuehne-Nagel in India, Erik said," Changes will happen because passengers will determine what needs to be done. Our path with aerospace and defence in India is investing, supporting and performing with innovative solutions. We are now an earlier adopter to be a catalyst, enabler and accelerator of changes needed. Different than 'just a logistic' company''.

Erik's speech was followed an enlightening speech by Vandana Aggarwal, Eco Advisor, MoCA in which she explained in details the progressive path taken by the Indian Government to deal with the policy reforms and tax structure of the Indian MRO market. Her speech sent vibes of positive energy around the entire Indian Aerospace MRO community.

The 1st Panel discussed on various topics revolving around the Make in India initiative and the steps to be taken to develop the supply chain which will in turn be a strong pillar of support to the Make in India. The panel received a rousing response from the audience who raised various concerns and issues to solve the grass-root problems relating to the current supply chain scenario in the country.

The 2nd panel Discussion gave an in-depth analysis on building a world-class supply chain for MRO industry, the challenges we currently face and various ways to overcome them.

The conference saw a perfect end to a perfect evening when the Joint Secretary, MoCA, Amber Dubey candidly shared his industry experience and knowledge and urged the entire aerospace MRO community to unite together as one force to bridge the gaps and strengthen the week links of Indian MRO sector.
