China Eastern Airlines announced that it has placed an order for 25 GEnx-1B engines to power its Boeing 787 aircraft at the 6th China International Import Expo. A long-term services agreement with TrueChoice is also included in the order. Since 2018, China Eastern Airlines has been a GEnx customer, having purchased 15 Boeing 787 aircraft powered by GEnx in addition to the TrueChoice services arrangement.
