Air India made a significant announcement regarding the appointment of Jayaraj Shanmugam as the Head of Global Airport Operations. Jayaraj Shanmugam is set to assume his new role on April 15th, 2024, and will report directly to Chief Operations Officer Capt. Klaus Goersch. Prior to joining Air India, Shanmugam served as the Chief Operating Officer at Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), where he played a pivotal role in the operationalization of the new Terminal 2. With a career spanning over 25 years across the airline, airport, and telecom industries, Jayaraj Shanmugam brings a wealth of experience from esteemed organizations such as Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Jet Airways.
