Saab Signs extended support:
22 May 2020: Saab and Swedish Armed Forces have signed an extended support and maintenance agreement in which Saab will continue to serve as primary supplier, and will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and availability of all SK60 aircraft at the Swedish Armed Forces.
“This contract ensures that the Swedish fighter pilots continue to get really good training, due to the Air Force’s SK60 fleet being available for several years to come,” said Ellen Molin, Head of Saab’s Support and Services business area.
As per the contract Saab is required to ensure that the SK60 fleet used mostly for pilot training is airworthy and available for use as per the requirements of the Swedish Armed Forces.
This agreement is a continuation of the initial agreement signed in 2015 and will be valid from 1st July 2020 to 2025 with the initial order value of MSEK 875.maintenance, and ava
