In a significant move aligning with the Government of India’s ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’ vision, Airbus has inked contracts with multiple Indian suppliers for the manufacturing of components crucial for its commercial aircraft. The contracts, signed with Aequs, Dynamatic, Gardner, and Mahindra Aerospace, cover the supply of airframe and wing parts spanning Airbus’ A320neo, A330neo, and A350 programs.
The new contracts play a pivotal role in supporting the global ramp-up of Airbus’ commercial aircraft programs. This move not only enhances Airbus’ capabilities but also contributes to the growth of the aviation ecosystem in India, covering diverse technologies such as sheet metal, machining, and extrusion profiles.
