Emirates has unveiled plans for a substantial investment of $950 million to construct a cutting-edge engineering facility at Dubai World Central (DWC). Spanning an expansive 1 million square meters, this facility is slated to be the most extensive and advanced of its kind operated by any airline globally, bolstering Dubai’s status as a hub for top-tier aviation infrastructure.
Designed to cater to Emirates’ aircraft fleet and operational needs until the 2040s, the engineering complex will double as a center of excellence for commercial aviation engineering services in the Middle East. With the potential to offer spare capacity to other airline operators, it is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s aviation landscape.
