Operational Excellence Takes Center Stage
At the heart of these changes is the promotion of Justin Jones to the position of Executive Vice President Operations. Previously serving as Senior Vice President of Operations & Design, Jones brings a wealth of experience to the role, having joined Southwest Airlines in 2001 and held various executive positions. In his new capacity, Jones will spearhead teams overseeing Operations & Hospitality, Air Operations, Technical Operations, and Ops Strategy & Design. This strategic consolidation aims to create closer alignment between operating and implementation teams, providing leadership support for Chief Operating Officer Andrew Watterson.
