Air India has embarked on a strategic partnership with Singapore-based SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) to develop state-of-the-art base maintenance facilities at Bengaluru, India. This collaboration marks a significant step in Air India’s ambitious transformation initiative, aiming to bolster the country’s aviation infrastructure and enhance its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities.
Scheduled to become operational in 2026, the new facilities will be situated at Kempegowda International Airport and are designed to accommodate both widebody and narrowbody aircraft. This development is expected to include advanced repair shops and support the increasing MRO demands of the Air India Group’s extensive fleet.
