Emirates adds 71 more jets to nose-to-tail cabin upgrade program

Emirates has announced a major ramp-up in its aircraft refurbishment program, committed to fully refurbishing 43 Airbus A380s and 28 Boeing 777s, bringing the total to 191 aircraft. The initial program targeted 120 aircraft for full refurbishment, including 67 A380s and 53 777s. This ramping up reflects Emirates’ commitment to enhancing the travel experience for its customers by introducing cutting-edge cabin products across its fleet.

The retrofit program has already seen 22 A380s refurbished, and in July 2024, the first Boeing 777 will go in for an interior refresh. Each Boeing 777 refurbishment will take approximately two weeks before re-deployment. Among the enhancements include a new Business Class seat configuration in a 1-2-1 layout, and the introduction of 24 Premium Economy seats, giving customers more premium options.
