29 August 2019:AMETEK SMP Eighty Four has appointed Brad Richards as Product Manager, Powders at its operations facility in Eighty Four. Richards will be responsible for growing the company's portfolio of water atomised and speciality metal powders, with an emphasis on developing differentiated products for new and existing customers in the automotive, industrial and defence markets.
Richards has a Master's and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Virginia as well as a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
In previous roles, he has managed strategic aerospace and additive manufacturing metals portfolios, as well as metals engineering and supply-chain processes. Richards is an expert in product development and new product introduction.
