14 August 2019: Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of United Technologies is collaborating with Industria de Aviacao e Servicos (IAS) to open a new overhaul facility in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, for PT6A and PW200 engines. The Belo Horizonte facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2019.
Pratt & Whitney has been in operation for 75 years in Brazil and remains the country's leading supplier of general aviation engines. Also, the company powers a large number of the nation's aircraft for government, commercial and business use.
