6 August 2019: Ethiopian Airlines has taken the delivery of its 25th Dash 8-400 Aircraft, with registration number ET-AXE, from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited.
A celebration was held at De Havilland Canada's facility in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where the Dash 8-400 aircraft were manufactured. In attendance were some senior executives of Ethiopian Airlines, De Havilland Canada and Longview Aviation Capital, the parent company of De Havilland Canada, Ethiopian's aircraft acceptance team and hundreds of De Havilland Canada employees.
Her Excellency Nasise Challi Jira, Ethiopian Ambassador to Canada and representatives of the government of Ontario were also present for the event.
