Air India orders 470 Airbus and Boeing jets at Paris Air Show

 Air India, the renowned global airline owned by the Tata Group, has taken a significant stride in its fleet expansion program with the signing of purchase agreements for 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. This ambitious program, valued at approximately $70 billion based on list prices, was announced earlier this year and represents a major milestone for the airline. The purchase agreements were finalized during the Paris Air Show.


The firm orders placed by Air India include a diverse range of aircraft, comprising 34 A350-1000, six A350-900, 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, and 10 Boeing 777X widebody aircraft. In addition, the airline has ordered 140 Airbus A320neo, 70 Airbus A321neo, and 190 Boeing 737MAX narrowbody aircraft.
