Ms Tan Siew Huay, Director (Legal) at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), has been selected to receive the prestigious Flight Safety Foundation’s Gloria Heath Trophy. This distinguished award recognizes women who have made notable achievements in the field of civil aviation. Ms Tan, a leader in international aviation law and the first woman to chair the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Legal Committee, will be honored for her exceptional leadership on the global stage and her contributions to advancing aviation law and the industry.
The Gloria Heath Trophy will be presented to Ms Tan during the Flight Safety Foundation’s annual Networking and Awards Dinner on July 11, 2023, at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. This recognition marks a significant milestone for Ms Tan as she becomes the second recipient and the first woman from Asia to receive this esteemed award. The inaugural recipient of the trophy was Ms Poppy Khoza, Director of Civil Aviation at the South African Civil Aviation Authority.
