Triumph Group, Inc., a leading aerospace and defense systems provider, has announced that its Systems Electronics and Controls business in West Hartford, Connecticut, has been awarded a multi-year contract from The Boeing Company for the AH-64 Apache Environmental Cooling System (ECS). The ECS plays a crucial role in providing conditioned heating and cooling air for the crew stations and extended forward avionics bays of the Apache AH-64 helicopter.
Triumph has a long-standing partnership with Boeing, supporting the AH-64 Apache ECS for over two decades, delivering critical thermal and heating systems for the fleet of more than 2,000 helicopters. With this new contract, Triumph is able to extend and expand its ECS offerings to Boeing and the US Army, serving both original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and aftermarket deliveries. The company’s West Hartford site, which incorporates the former Fairchild business as part of Triumph’s consolidation plan, has benefited from a partnership with the State of Connecticut, allowing it to retain high-wage manufacturing jobs within the state.
