Safran begins testing of latest Business class seats on Air New Zealand Boeing 787 fleet

 Safran and Air New Zealand have revealed their highly anticipated brand-new cabin interior, featuring the latest Business Premier seats designed and manufactured in collaboration with Safran Seats. Set to be introduced in 2024, these innovative seats aim to provide passengers with an unrivaled level of comfort, promising to deliver “the best sleep in the sky.”


The airline’s decision to partner with Safran Seats stems from its desire to create a “home away from home” experience for its discerning customers. Through close collaboration, Air New Zealand and Safran Seats have developed a seat concept specifically tailored for the Boeing 787 aircraft, leaving no room for compromise. The design maximizes the available space in this aircraft type, ensuring an optimized seating experience for passengers. Within the Business Premier cabin, travelers will have the option to choose between two variations: Business Premier and Business Premier Luxe.
