Qantas Group makes new leadership appointments

The Qantas Group has announced a series of changes to its Group Management Committee (GMC) as part of its CEO transition and ongoing commitment to renewal. These changes involve senior appointments, structural adjustments, and a heightened focus on areas of significant investment, such as human resources and customer experience. Further announcements regarding the appointments to the vacant positions will be made once finalized. These senior executives will report directly to Vanessa Hudson, the incoming Group CEO, who will assume her new role in November 2023.

One of the notable changes is the creation of a dedicated Chief People Officer role, which will consolidate the human resources and industrial relations functions. This move is in line with the Group’s projection of generating 8,500 new jobs in Australia over the next decade and its emphasis on training programs due to the acquisition of new aircraft. The search for an executive to fill this role is currently underway.
