GE Aerospace, software as a Service, has announced that KLM Group Airlines—comprising KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, KLM Cityhopper, and Martinair—is now taking Fuel Insight software. It will enhance the efficiency of fuel and lower the CO2 footprint, to achieve operationally integrated centralized tools at the group level. KLM Group, in the past, had piloted GE Aerospace’s Flight Analytics platform. This included the use of the EMS, or Event Measurement System, during the SkyTeam’s Sustainable Flight Challenge. Moving from this experience, the group has now subscribed to this platform and GE Aerospace’s Fuel Insight solution as its leading fuel efficiency operating system for aircraft.
Fuel Insight integrates native flight data with the operating data of the airlines and brings a suite of analytics and reporting. These provide the operator with actionable insights and trend analysis, enabling him to raise the plane of fuel efficiency strategies. KLM Group demanded clarity of data, adjustable analytics, and knowledge sharing through a centralized toolset.
