MTU Power recently extended its service contract with Equinor ASA, one of Europe’s largest operators of offshore oil and gas platforms. This contract covers the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services of Equinor’s LM-series industrial gas turbines until 2028. MTU Power, known for its reliable, flexible, and cost-efficient MRO offerings specifically tailored for GE Gas Power LM-series turbines, continues to provide the technical expertise required for Equinor’s fleet of LM2500 and LM6000 IGTs.
The contract, which was first awarded in 2015, includes offshore field service support, piece part repairs, and in-country level 2 maintenance: module swaps and smaller work scopes. The MRO work is performed by MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH at its location in Ludwigsfelde, just south of Berlin, Germany.
