Embraer’s pioneer, E-Freighter program, reached a significant milestone as the first E190F, a converted jet from passenger transport to freighter, successfully completed its inaugural flight in São José dos Campos, Brazil. Conducted by the Embraer team, the flight lasted approximately two hours, during which a comprehensive evaluation of the aircraft was carried out. Further testing is scheduled before the E-Freighter officially enters operational service. The aircraft is owned by Regional One, a leasing company based in the United States.
The successful first flight marks the beginning of a comprehensive evaluation phase by Embraer to ensure the readiness of the E-Freighter jets for operational deployment. The aircraft has already demonstrated success in ground pressurization tests and cargo loading assessments, reflecting promising performance capabilities.
