H175 on Search and Rescue duty for Chinese Military Transport

7 March, 2019: In an attempt to expand its medium class search and rescue helicopter fleet the Chinese Military Transport’s Rescue and Salvage Bureau (CRS) have signed a contract for two Airbus H175 helicopters in search and rescue (SAR) configuration.

Along with offshore areas like Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea, the new H 175s will be on SAR mission in China’s most heavily trafficked waters in one of the busiest areas for marine traffic.

20- certified cabin configurations which can be easily re-configured based on mission requirements

For over a decade now, the MOT/CRS has been one of the most important customers for Airbus in China. The H225s operates in Shanghai, Penglai, Xiamen and Zhuhai considered to be China’s four main air bases.

Apart from China, the H175s are also operational in Netherlands, the UK, Denmark, Thailand, Australia, Mexico and Hong Kong.
