Airbus and GVHL join hands for H145 Helicopter

5 March, 2019: Airbus and Global Vectra Helicorp Limited (GVHL), a helicopter company in India signed a contract during Aero India, Bangaluru to deliver an H145 helicopter in a multi-utility configuration. The contract has an option to deliver a second H145 in similar configuration.

The H145 – Salient Features

1. Spacious cabin that can seat up to eight passengers.

2. Features Airbus Helicopters’ Helionix avionics

3. 4-axis digital autopilot which will reduce pilot’s workload

4. Fenestron enclosed tail rotor to reduce noise level

5. Turbomeca Arriel2E engine which can generate 894 shaft horsepower for take-off and improved hover

“The H145 is a best-in-class product that serves a gamut of purposes. And the changeover time for the different missions is minimal. This is what makes the H145 a winner worldwide,” said Ashish Saraf, Head of Airbus Helicopters, India & South Asia.

The delivery of first aircraft is expected by mid-2020 while the second one will be delivered by the end of 2020

The CEO of GVHL, India’s largest private sector rotorcraft said “We very much look forward to introducing the H145 to our fleet for multiple reasons: It has the highest standards of safety and state of the art technology and comes with excellent levels of customisation and comfort,”

The unique eight-seat multirole configuration is designed in such a way that the operator can change the aircraft as the need arises. Thus, the H145 can be used for a variety of purposes ranging from VIP transport, offshore operations to emergency medical services.
