Collins Aerospace to revolutionise travel experience at Brazil’s Salvador Airport



In a multi-year agreement, Collins Aerospace will provide the best in class and a full suite of airport solutions that will increase the efficiency and improve passenger experience.

Julio Ribas, CEO of SSA spoke at a recent event about the dedication of the newly modernized Salvador, Brazil airport. He said," The airport now features a full suite of Collins Aerospace airport solutions to increase efficiency and improve passenger processing."

These solutions include reducing wait times at the check-in, self-service check-in and bag drop products, ease congestion, and increasing overall efficiency at the airport.

"The number of passengers using our airport is on the rise and we are proud of the work we are doing in coordination with Collins Aerospace to improve the passenger journey from the time they enter the airport to the time they board their aircraft," said Yann Le Bihan, chief information officer for SSA. "In addition, Collins Aerospace solutions take up less space on the terminal floor, which keeps our beautiful new building open and comfortable."

Collins Aerospace was selected as it the only company offering products that will meet all the needs of SSA's modernized terminals.

Some of the solutions offered by Collins Aerospace apart from SelfDrop and self-serve were MUSE which provides accurate and timely passenger counts at gates, and is the only solution to provide Passenger Boarded counts for accurate and immediate control of the number of passengers boarded and Veripax which will streamline the passenger validation at e-Gates .
