Juneyao Air obtains first Airbus A320neo aircraft with Pratt:
17 December 2019:Juneyao Air has received the first A320neo aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF engines.
A ceremony was conducted at the Airbus Tianjin Delivery Centre for the delivery of the aircraft with representatives from Airbus, Juneyao Air & Pratt & Whitney in attendance.
"For Juneyao Air, this delivery marks the beginning of a new generation for our fleet," said Juneyao Group Chairman Wang Junjin. "We believe the GTF-powered A320neo will enhance our operations in many ways with the proven fuel efficiency, quieter cabin experience, and opportunity to introduce new destinations for our passengers."
Juneyao Air which is based in Shanghai operates a moder fleet of 17 aircraft are V2500 powered Airbus A320ceo family jets, covering both domestic and international routes.
"We appreciate the successful relationship we have developed with Juneyao for over a decade. As we continue to support Juneyao's V2500-powered fleet, we are thrilled to see the airline expand their operations with the addition of the next generation GTF-powered A320neo family fleet, starting with today's delivery," said Rick Deurloo, chief customer officer and senior vice president, Customers at Pratt & Whitney. "The engine will help drive Juneyao's growth in the region."
